Frequently Asked Questions

A few of the most common questions people ask:

1. Why do you write?

That’s an easy one. Many awesome books, movies and games have inspired me from childhood. A few include: anything Star Wars (*minus Rose Tico in Galaxy of Heroes), Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Magician by Raymond E. Feist.

2. What have you learned from being an author?

It’s hard. And long. Also, hard. But immensely rewarding.

3. Are your characters inspired by real people?

Some. They call in the dark ever-mists of eerie twilight and refuse to go away (they’re usually respectful enough not to bother me in the morning, which I appreciate). But if you love a character of mine, I definitely based them on you. Literally.

4. What are some things that challenge you?

People who incorrectly use the word ‘literally’, evil cats and having any less than three hours a day to write.

5. What advice would you give new writers?

Write. LOTS. Enjoy it as you do. It’s not a sprint, it’s several marathons. When you’ve checked your work, send it out somewhere! You never know, you might be published.
